EAHL was originally promoted by the Rane Group in Chennai. In 1987, we made a public offer of 25,000,000 Equity Shares of Rs 10 each, pursuant to which, its equity shares were listed on the BSE and the MSE. EIHL took over the management in 1988 and commenced operations of the hotel at Chennai under brand 'Trident' in March 1988. In 1995, the Company issued 5,250,000 Equity Shares of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 24 per Equity Share on a rights basis. The name of the enterprise was changed to 'EIH Associated Hotels Limited', as documented in a fresh certificate of incorporation dated November 1, 1996.
In 1997, EAHL commenced operations of its second hotel, 'The Oberoi Rajvilas' at Jaipur. This marks the business’s foray into the luxury segment.
Pursuant to scheme of arrangement, Indus Hotels Corporation Limited was merged with EAHL on April 1, 2005. This resulted in 3 hotels located in Agra, Jaipur and Udaipur operated by Indus Hotels Corporation Limited, coming under the 'Trident' brand in EAHL. The wholly owned subsidiary of Indus Hotels Corporation Limited, Island Hotel Maharaj Limited, which managed the Trident, became the wholly owned subsidiary of EAHL.
Pursuant to a scheme of arrangement struck between EIH Limited and EAHL, 2 hotels of EIH Limited namely, 'The Oberoi Cecil' at Shimla and the 'Trident, Bhubaneswar' were transferred to the former with effect from April 1, 2006.
Island Hotel Mararaj Limited was amalgamated with EAHL in 2011, pursuant to a Scheme of Amalgamation approved by the Hon'ble High Court at Madras vide Court Order. Due to the amalgamation, the Authorised Share Capital of EAHL increased to ₹850 million comprising 75,000,000 equity shares of 10 each and 1,000,000 redeemable preference shares of ₹100 each.
During the financial year 2012-13, EAHL made a Rights Issue of 10,881,481 equity shares of face value ₹10 each at a premium of ₹90 per share (issue price ₹100 per equity share). For every existing 9 equity shares, 5 shares were issued as Rights.
Pursuant to an application for Voluntary Delisting of Shares filed by EAHL in terms of Regulations 6(a) and 7 of the SEBI(Delisting of Equity Shares) Regulations, 2009, the Company's shares totalling 30,468,147 were delisted from Madras Stock Exchange (MSE) on 25th September, 2014.

2 hotels earlier managed by EIH Limited namely, 'The Oberoi Cecil' at Shimla and the 'Trident, Bhubaneswar' were transferred to us pursuant to a scheme of arrangement.
Our securities were listed on the NSE in April 8, 2008.
The shares were listed with BSE and NSE on 22nd October, 2012 and on MSE on 23rd October, 2012. Commencement of trading at BSE, NSE and MSE was approved w.e.f. 26th October, 2012.
Pursuant to Scheme of Amalgamation approved by the Madras High Court, Island Hotel Maharaj Limited was amalgamated with EAHL with effect from 1st April 2011 ("Appointed Date").
Delisting from Madras Stock Exchange w.e.f. 25th September, 2014 pursuant to an application for Voluntary Delisting of Shares filed by the Company.
